In case of any manufacturing defect in your jewellery, our technical staff will check and correct the flaw, or in some cases, replace the item. The warranty will not cover any damage due to improper use, accidents, alterations to the jewel by unauthorised laboratories, general wear and tear, or other changes attributed to everyday use.
ADVICE AND CUSTOMER CARE
Adelya gemstones are carefully selected by our gemologists, who comply with strict quality standards. Natural stones vary in their colour, shade and level
of transparency – this is what makes each stone unique. If a damaged stone needs to be replaced, our experts will select a similar gem that meets the high standards established by Adelya. Protect your Jewellery In order to avoid unwanted scratches, we recommend you keep every piece of Adelya jewellery in individual cases or pouches. These should be stored in a dry place and kept away from heat.
MAINTAINING YOUR ADELYA JEWELLERY
Adelya jewellery is made to be worn everyday, so no extraordinary maintenance is required. However, everyday wear may lead to a reduction in the natural lustre of gold surfaces, gemstones and diamonds. With longterm wear your skin’s natural oils, airborn contaminants, moisture and corrosion will also tarnish the shine and lustre of your jewellery. Keep your jewellery looking its best by following these guidelines:
- The lustre of gold can be maintained using products specially designed for cleaning jewellery. It is advisable to check that any materials bought for this purpose are non-corrosive. If in doubt, seek professional advice.
- Gemstones should be worn and treated with care to avoid knocks that may chip or break the stones.
- Surface finishes such as sand-blasting, rhodium-plating, or burnishing can be restored only by professionals.
- Gem stones such as opal, chalcedony, pearl, emerald, turquoise, amber, lapis lazuli, coral and onyx are all examples of delicate, soft or porous gemstones. These should be kept away from moisture, smoke, fragrances, cosmetic products and chlorine, as well as sudden changes in temperature that may damage the gemstone irreversibly.
- If your gold or silver jewellery contains soft, porous gemstones, you should follow the cleaning instructions for the gemstones and not the metal. Gemstones are sensitive and can be easilly damaged if treated incorrectly.
